Graffiti in Tahiti Lesson Plans (Order Now)

Education is perhaps the only way total graffiti abatement can ever really occur. These integrated lesson plans and curriculum supplements were developed by the author of Graffiti in Tahiti, Victoria Wilson-Merritt. Ms. Wilson-Merritt spent years researching the causes of graffiti by studying individual taggers and infiltrating over a hundred groups and gangs who were responsible for graffiti production.

She was also involved in enhancing and promoting the Graffiti Hurts program for Keep America Beautiful, Inc. The Graffiti Hurts program focuses on educating people about how graffiti hurts communities and how to develop community-based solutions for graffiti abatement and prevention.

These new lesson plans build on those successes. They are targeted at grades 1 through 4 and have been designed as a companion to Graffiti in Tahiti. Students will learn to identify, understand the social and economic consequences of, and how to resist peer pressure to do, graffiti.
